Chase T. Manderino
Chase advises clients with respect to domestic tax matters, with a focus on partnership taxation, corporate structuring and transactional matters.
Chase has over a decade of experience providing sophisticated tax guidance. Prior to joining Baker Tax Law, Chase was most recently a tax partner at Parr Brown Gee & Loveless in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Chase provides tax and economic planning for acquisitions, dispositions, debt issuances, restructurings, as well as investment structuring. He also assists with ongoing tax planning for corporations, partnerships, LLCs, S corporations, and joint ventures.
Chase has a comprehensive understanding of key tax and structuring issues of businesses, from initial formation to planning potential exit strategies, including QSBS, choice of entity, equity compensation, rollover equity, and DAF contributions.
Chase has extensive experience counseling early-stage start-ups and emerging companies in a wide array of industries. He has also advised businesses of all sizes in industries including health care, biotechnology, life sciences, banking, financial technology, food and beverages, energy, IoT, e-commerce and transportation.
In addition, Chase specializes in limited liability company structuring and related tax partnership issues, inclusive of profits interests, fund formation, waterfalls, and allocations for private equity investments, real estate projects, and other investment vehicles.
Chase served as an editor on the BYU Law Review and after graduation clerked for Judge Mark V. Holmes on the United States Tax Court in Washington D.C.
Chase has also taught as an adjunct professor at BYU’s J. Reuben Clark Law School.
Chase has served on the board of the Utah State Bar Tax Section, as Chair and in other capacities.
Chase has been recognized in the 2019 and 2020 editions of Mountain States Super Lawyers as a “Rising Star” and in the 2021 edition of Utah Business magazine as one of Utah’s Legal Elite for tax law.
